Expanded delegation to present EECA cities’ experience at Fast-Track Cities 2023 conference 

During the event, representatives of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region will share their experience in overcoming the HIV/AIDS epidemic in cities, and representatives of Ukraine will talk about the peculiarities of maintaining a sustainable response to HIV in the context of Russia’s large-scale war against Ukraine.

Representatives of the region will take part in a number of sessions, where they will discuss, in particular, the following:

– Problems, challenges and opportunities for implementing Sustainable Development Goal 11 – ensuring sustainable consumption and production.

– Finding ways to optimize HIV prevention and treatment in a sustainable way to improve the health of the nation.

– Promoting inclusiveness to realize the rights to dignity, health and well-being – because everyone has the right to a happy life.

– HIV, hepatitis and STI services for people affected by the war in Ukraine – support and assistance to vulnerable populations.
